Colorado Rustic Cabins

We have 4 rustic cabins for rent. Some of which are part of the original ranch buildings built by Earl's Grandparents. All were built by hand and are still as rustic and primitive as when Grandma and Grandpa lived there.

The "Bunk House" is where Earl's dad and brother slept as boys. This sleeps 2. This cabin has been renovated the summer of 2001. It has a propane heater and bunk beds.

The "Ice House", which was originally used to hold the ice that they would cut in the winter from the river. This cabin is one room and can sleep 5-6. It has a wood stove, two sets of bunk beds and a loft which can sleep one or two people.

Then we have the "Oil House", which is exactly what it's name implies. It originally stored all of the oil and gas products used to run the ranch. This cabin can accommodate 2 adults and possibly 1 child. It has a propane heater, a 12 volt electric light, and a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a single on the top.

We have one new log cabin, known as "Dave's Cabin" that was built the summer of 2000 and finished the fall of 2001. This also is a one room cabin with a loft. You could sleep 5-6 people. It has a wood stove and two sets of bunks and a loft which could sleep one or two people.

The "Grainery" was originally used to store the grain and feed for the animals and also store tack. This building has been added on to and remodeled. It now serves as the kitchen and dining room for our guests.

We do have one "Shower House" with hot and cold running water in the sink and shower. Bathroom facilities are still what Grandma and Grandpa used, an outhouse. We have a "One Holer" and a "Two Holer".

The "Grainery", the "Shower House", the "Oil House", and the "Two Holer" have 12 volt electric lights. The rest of the cabins have lanterns.

For large family gatherings that will need more room than our 4 cabins will provide, we have space for tents, campers, and RV's, though we do not have electric hookups or dumping stations. This would also be on a limited basis, so please call for more information and space availability.
